How talents work in WoW Forever

  • Points

You get your first talent point at level 10 and one more at every level after that, so you have 51 points at level 60. The Legacy perk Talented moves the first point earlier, by one level per rank, down to level 5; the total stays 51.

  • Rows

Each tree has 7 rows. A new row opens every 5 points you spend in that tree: row 2 at 5 points, row 3 at 10, and so on up to row 7 at 30 points.

  • Prerequisites

Some talents have an arrow pointing to them from another talent. You need that other talent at its maximum rank before you can take the one the arrow points to.

  • Three trees

Each class has three talent trees, and you can spread your points across all of them. You do not have to stay in one.
